What makes Sculptra Aesthetic so unique?
Sculptra works with your body to revitalize collagen production, helping to restore your skin’s inner structure.
Sculptra is a volumizer rather than an injectable toxin or filler. It restores lost volume to the face following years of sun damage as well as other factors such as skin type, genetics, and general aging.
Unlike hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers, Sculptra Aesthetic is a poly-L-lactic acid based treatment. Once injected, it begins working deep within the skin to stimulate collagen production, reinforcing the skin’s inner structure and restoring its volume.
How does Sculptra work?
The injectable works by replenishing lost collagen, a substance responsible for keeping skin tight, smooth, and supple. Collagen breaks down due to age and sun exposure, leaving flesh saggy, wrinkled, and sunken. Sculptra replaces lost collagen and requires three staggered treatments to achieve desired effects that can last more than 2 years.
Where is it used?
Aging and sun damage result in volume lost around the cheek area, jawline, chin and temples. Sculptra restores lost volume to naturally lift and tighten these areas.
Are Results Immediate?
One of the ways Sculptra is dissimilar from other wrinkle fillers is that results are not instant. It works by slowly stimulating collagen production to restore volume over a three-month timeframe.
Changes are never severe or dramatic during this time, you simply look fabulous once the three month period is complete!
You may resume normal activities following the procedure. Dr.Hanna will ensure the product is deposited evenly and use a massage technique that must be adhered to in the days after treatment. You must massage the affected areas in a circular motion with moisturized fingers for five minutes, five times a day, for five days.
